Terms of Service (Read It or Don't, We're Not Your Mom)
Last updated: July 31, 2026. Drafted by the developer, who is not a lawyer, has never played one on TV, and finds the whole genre a little boring. If you need actual legal advice, this is not that. If you need to know whether you just agreed to let an app quietly track that you've skipped dish duty four weeks running: yes. Yes you did.
1. By using this, you agree to this
Congratulations — by tapping "Create account" you have entered into a binding-ish agreement with a chore app. We know, we know, huge day. Read on anyway, because skimming documents like this is exactly the energy that leads to someone claiming they "never agreed" to take out the recycling.
2. What this is (and very much isn't)
Chore Draft helps your household draft, assign, trade, and mildly guilt each other into doing chores. It is not a court, a therapist, a marriage counselor, or a hostage negotiator — even though a heated chore draft may require all four at once. We decline. This is software. We stay in our lane.
3. Accounts, families, and drafts
Commissioners get real power here: inviting people, removing people, running the draft. We are trusting you not to abuse it, mostly because we have no other realistic option. If you draft your toddler for gutter cleaning, that's between you, the toddler, and possibly a concerned neighbor — not us.
4. The golden rules
Don't use Chore Draft to:
- Harass, threaten, or spam anyone, in your family or out
- Impersonate someone else
- Try to hack, break, or overload the app — we will notice, and we will judge you for it
- Name a chore something a superadmin will have to squint at during a Tuesday-afternoon moderation pass
We reserve the right to suspend or remove any account or entire family that breaks these rules, at our discretion, with a single deeply satisfying click of a button that exists specifically for this purpose. We built it. We will use it. We might enjoy it a little.
5. Your content
Chore names you create stay private to your family — nobody else needs to know that "Feed Gerald" refers to a gecko and not, alarmingly, a family member. There's also a small shared list of common chores every family can borrow from, because reinventing "take out the trash" fourteen times across fourteen households is a uniquely pointless use of everyone's time.
6. No warranty that chores will actually get done
Chore Draft is provided "as is," which is legal-speak for "we tried our best, please don't sue us." We do not warrant that the draft will feel fair, that the dishwasher will get emptied, or that anyone will accept a chore trade with anything resembling grace. Software cannot fix that. Frankly, nothing can.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for damages arising from your use of Chore Draft — including, but absolutely not limited to, family arguments, a draft pick you're still bitter about, or a dog that didn't get walked because everyone assumed someone else had it covered. If the app itself breaks, tell us. If your family breaks, that one's on you.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. When we do, we'll bump the date at the top like responsible adults, then get right back to writing jokes about chore charts.
9. Contact
Got a legitimate complaint? Send us a report and we'll actually read it. Got a complaint about your sibling? Take it up with them directly — we are not equipped, licensed, or willing.
